Late April, Cellino San Marco, celebrates it's patron saint St. Mark the Evangelist or "Santu Marcu picciccu". The name translates as small Saint Mark, not to describe the size of the saint, but to identify that this a smaller, more intimate celebration than the one held in July. On the Sunday there are religious celebrations throughout the day followed by music in the evening. On the Monday morning there is a livestock show and a market.
