Having recently experienced, and thoroughly enjoyed, a half-day wine tour with Sapori del Salento, we highly recommend that you add the wine tour to your holiday "must do" list! We were picked up from our villa and taken, in an air-conditioned people carrier to the first of three cantinas. During the drive Paola shared with us her extensive knowledge of both the local area and Puglia wine making. During the visit to each of the three diverse cantine, Paola and Donna were on hand to translate for non-italian speakers. We visited the ancient storage areas in one cantina, marvelled at the highly automated modern bottling plant at another and were treated to an interesting discussion with the international marketing manager at the third. Of course we tasted wine at all three, and we certainly bought wine to take home! And to end a perfect wine tour experience we then had lunch in a local restaurant where wines from the cantine we had visited were on the wine list!
Take the tour at the beginning of your vacation, you'll be able to buy exquisite wines at very good prices to enjoy during your vacation, and if you have room in your luggage, take some home to!

What better way to start your stay in Puglia than a wine tour including plenty of tastings? Our tour takes you to three diverse cantinas, privately held as well as a farmers' co-operative, giving you a complete overview of how Salento wines are grown, produced, and most importantly, how they taste.
We can tailor your tour to reflect which Salento wines are available in your home country, and introduce you to our award-winning wines from all three cantinas. To top off the tour we can arrange a traditional Pugliese lunch from a local restaurant in wine country that will feature some of the wines you have tasted. One of our favorite cantinas also offers their olive oil for sale. You may buy, at discounted prices, the wines you like directly from the source to enjoy during your holiday, or to take home as most of the cantinas provide carrying cases.
We are local residents, and speak English, Italian, and French. Our air-conditioned vehicles can take parties from 2 – 6 people comfortably. The tour is about 5 hours long and is 85 eu per person, Children under 14 – 25 eu. Lunch is an additional individual charge paid directly to the restaurant, reservations for lunch are recommended.
Booking in advance of your arrival in Puglia is recommended to avoid disappointment.
